Kayaking the LA River...

My colleague Nick is teaching a fascinating class on Metropolitan Los Angeles this summer, and this video seemed to speak to several of the issues he's asking his students to think about: How, for example, do we think about nature in the city? What's the place of nature in the city? In what ways is nature actually far more present around us in Los Angeles than we typically assume?
